Kamikaze Dolphins WOW!!

December 12, 2008

K So .. I was reading about exploding whales and I checked out some articles on wikipedia about exploding animals .. check this out…

“A significant population of toads in Germany and Denmark were exploded in April 2005, in an act described as a self-defense mechanism that failed, as it consisted of puffing up to look bigger while under attack by crows” – Wikipedia

….interesting.

and then I read this .. and IT was not cool …

“Military scientists have also tested donkeys carrying explosives and kamikaze dolphins that seek and destroy submarines as well as enemy warships.”

A U.S. Navy Marine Mammal Program dolphin named KDog wearing a locating pinger, performed mine clearance work in the Persian Gulf during the Iraq War.

“Due to the secrecy of such practice, rumors of military dolphins include training them to lay underwater mines, to locate enemy combatants, or to seek and destroy submarines using kamikaze methods.[4] There has even been speculation about the potential development of sophisticated equipment, such as poison darts, sonar jamming devices, and so on for dolphins, and about combat between cetaceans of both superpowers.”

Just goes to show you dolphins are incredibly smart …. I’m not down with the idea of them being kamikaze dolphins though … not cool!

So .. my bro and I were watching The Dog Whisperer on TV and we saw a commercial for a show that is going to air tomorrow about a whale that exploded in Taiwan on its way to a research center in the middle of the street. So well we couldn’t wait to see footage of a whale exploding and resorted to Youtube … couldn’t find any footage but I did find some pictures..

I did though find footage of ANOTHER exploding whale… HAHA on le Yew toob.

In 1970 a whale washed up on the shores of Florence, Oregon… they did not know how to dispose of it so they thought of the next best thing… DYNAMITE  hahahaha…

LOL!!!! Smart.
