Looking forward to a new year ….

BRING IT !!!!!!

I have a feeling this will be a good one … last year was slightly above mediocre … and the year before that was a good one …. and too remember getting the feelings at the beginning of the year … that it was going to be a good one … *sigh* .. oh memories … I should probably backtrack on 2008 … what went wrong .. .what went well .. what could change … what could stay the same …etc .. i do have a list of things i hope to accomplish in 2009 .. will post that prob later this week … too lazy to go grab my planner right now .. but yeah … I have a really good feeling about this year =) I can feel it in my gut lol I am currently listening to some tunes … and .. well .. it reminds me .. I need to move some files onto this laptop… music files that is … Ive been listening to the same stuff for a couple of months now … which is fine .. but sometimes I will crave the old song that I used to have on my old laptop .. and so I will need to work on that haha … 

I’ve been listening to a lot of The Smiths lately … some people might find them to be a sad bunch … and I mean some of their lyrics are quite le sad so I could see why they would think that … I love their music .. the bass lines .. the melodies .. they are lovely  =) … so without further adieu here is At The Drive-In .. doing a cover of “This Night Has Opened My Eyes” by The Smiths.. 

And I’m not happy and I’m not sad.. LOL

Monday – Oh sNOw!! …

Getting to work was fun….I was not looking forward to getting up in the morning after getting home at 1:30AM from the concert last night,   I had to wake up 30 mins earlier than usual  so I only got 4 hours of sleep… I’m gonna get home today and NAP!! mmmm about 10 to 8  I got to work .. so I was good to go!!! …….but yes …. So I want an At The Drive-In shirt… I had one but I gave it away. It was too big for me anyways.  I just hope it is getting some action (the shirt.. not the person I gave it too LOL) I am listening to  Acrobatic Tenement … tis awesome – One of my fave ATDI CD’s .. Initiation is quite the awesome song -

 

 

Whoa so …. I am at home now … turns out I had TTV Training right at noon… didn’t even get to go for lunch .. so much for that! .. ANYWAYS.. ummm yes SO snow sucks a lot! – After work I umm went to Metro …. that was fun… NOT! X_X … Got home .. about an hour ago and now I shall write about last nights concert. 

OH yes .. but before I get into that .. I missed the hockey game tonight, BUT, We Won!!! HOLLA!!!

so … After mmm a good 6 months or so of deliberation, I am going to cut someone out .. DELETED! Why? … because they are too negative – KILL THAT NOISE! … Seriously .. I can’t stand negativity …. I’ve been too nice .. but now … I don’t care… this person is kinda selfish so bleh!

..ummmm yeah so I was supposed to be talking about last nights ShAWUUU .. SOO GOOD

It was freakin cold!!! – But it was SOOO GOOOOOOD!!!!  

I mainly went for Sebastien Grainger  … he used to be in a band called Death From Above 1979  .. they were frickin awesome… but then Jesse the other member was all .. meh I wanna do electropop so the scene kids can bust a move .. which I totally respect but … DFA79 was unlike any other!! .. Their live shows were amazing!!! … Now I would have loved to see At The Drive- In live because they are insane but I am glad to say that at least I saw DFA79 several times before they went kaputz! … Sebastien’s show was super good! I waited so long to see him .. I haven’t even seen MSTRKRFT … not really motivated to go … but yes I am definitely a happy camper… The Mountains were great!!! .. I got home and downloaded their alby and EP off iTunes… yes .. iTunes… support Sebastien!… I was at HMV today and saw the hardcopy .. I was tempted LOL … but yes .. The Dears were great! … They definitely surpassed my expectations – hah! (don’t hate) … Tokyo Police Club … eh … welll … what can I say… I like the 2 songs … then the rest sound the same…. not my cup of tea .. their set was WAAAAY tooo long!!!  Then finally Metric came on (on a side note … I liked that tonight’s show had a minimal wait time in between sets which was way rad because I was worried about leaving too late as I had to work the next day at 8AM – and with the snow I had to be up at 6AM)  but yes so Metric came on … umm they started off with Poster of a Girl I think .. NOOO it was the new single .. that’s what they started with … honestly . I like them but …. they don’t do it for me anymore … I think I’ve seen them WAAAY too many times… I don’t sing along anymore … I am indifferent .. so with that being said I will prob not be in the front row the next time they make an appearance. Their new music is … a bit more mellow .. which is nice .. but when I started listening to them (back in 2004)  .. I was like OMAGAW DEAD DISCO LOVE! .. they also had the mellow jams in “Old World Underground….” … and they were frickin awesome .. but .. I dunno … this new stuff .. meh .. ANYWAYS .. I am still glad I went for I saw Mr.Grainger .. who i luuuuuurrrvv haha and yeah … Here’s to you kid! 

 

Oh yah and remember what I said about me taking a nap as soon as I got home .. DIDN’T HAPPEN!! TCHA!!! 

I did though buy 2 purses $15 each an Element jacket $40 and a Billabong Peacoat style hoodie for $40 .. HAPPY CAMPER NONE THE LESS – k now I gotta sleep .. I gotta work again tomololololo
